ALMA CO Mosaics of LMC Molecular Clouds

1. Data Products from Wong et al. (2019)

Cubes and images are provided in gzipped FITS format.  These are derived from ALMA data from the following programs: 2011.0.00471.S (30 Dor; Indebetouw et al. 2013), 2013.1.00832.S (PCC; Wong et al. 2017), and 2016.1.00193.S (other four clouds; Wong et al. 2019).  Please reference the appropriate paper(s) if you use these data.  The 30 Dor images also include single-dish data from APEX.  All data are convolved to a common resolution of 3.5".  The pixel scale is 0.5" and the velocity channel spacing is 0.2 km/s (0.5 km/s for 30 Dor).  The "PBcor" cube has been corrected for the loss of sensitivity at the edges of the mosaic by dividing the cube by the normalized gain image.  The peak SNR image is recommended for initial inspection of the data.

While a 13CO signal mask is provided for reference, it should be noted that in the paper we have applied the 12CO signal mask to the 13CO cube to facilitate calculation of the line ratio. Moment maps for 13CO using the 12CO signal mask are not provided here (except as a PDF image for consistency with the paper), but can easily be generated from the images below. The signal masks have been generated using the idl_mommaps package, using the scripts available in this folder.

The 8um SAGE images (regridded and convolved to match the ALMA data) were not included in the original data release. They can be found in this ZIPfile: lmc_cyc4_sage.zip (10 MB).
